Artist Statement
With perspective, intention, energy, and hands, I make stuff. Using paint, pencil, paper, glue, photographs, clay, wood, or found objects, I connect to the places and people in dreams, imagination, and memory in order to experience them anew.

As a child I drew and dreamt of other places. I moved furniture around and rearranged closets into magical worlds. I mined for treasure at thrift shops and breathed new life into the discard of other people’s lives.

Moving freely among abstraction, portraiture, nature, objects, and interiors, I approach each with the childlike wonder of seeing something for the first time. Each is a magical puzzle, a world in which I can make stuff, move it around, and experience it as new.
